I have tasted biryani rice before, but not in a CLAYPOT!
We went to taste the Biryani rice at Legend’s Claypot Biryani.
It is located at Brickfield.
Look into the menu there, you can get variety type of meat.
We have chosen prawn, mutton, chicken and vegetable Biryani.
The rice is cooked and in a hot claypot with a boiled egg, the aroma of the rice flows within the heat from the pot.
The meat is layered below the rice.
It is served on banana leaf, accompanied by a raita and curry.
Without curry, you can taste the grain, very particle.
Raita is an Indian side dish of yogurt containing chopped cucumber, onions and other vegetables and spices.
I love the rice so much!
What so special about the rice?
Sweet fragrance and herbal warm aroma.
The rice is very nutty which give a chewy texture. And if you drop the pot, you can see clearly the particle of the rice, they are not sticky. It is Legendary!
Besides that, it is cooked in a sizzling hot claypot. When you dig in layer by layer, you can taste some crispy rice texture in the end at the bottom of the hot earthen pot.
A side dish recommend you to taste which is Pakoda - deep fried battered onion.
It serves as appetizer.
Pakoda is a very spicy, tasteful, tantalizing, tempting recipe. It's very delicious.
You will continue eating non-stop once you taste one!!
Just like what I have experienced!
It's gonna be LEGEN- ...wait for it... -DARY!
